The Saturday Evening
On Saturday 7th November 2009, veterans, families and friends met near Tempsford for a social evening ahead of the more serious business the next day. Stories were told, friends remembered and new links were found. The evening event was attended by the 3 TVAR organisers, Edwin Bryce, Bob Body and Steve Harris, along with visitors from the USA/Canada and Denmark. Families of those who had served at Tempsford chatted 'over a pint' with 2 veterans, Harold Watson and Tommy Thomas.

The Sunday Service at the "barn"
On an unexpectedly dry Sunday morning, the veterans, families and friends gathered at the Gibraltar Farm Barn on Tempsford Airfield, by kind permission of Lady Erroll. The service was to be led by the local vicar, Margaret Marshall. On parade were 22 Sqn (Sandy) A.T.C. and also this year, serving members of H.M. Armed Forces from RAF Chicksands.
